Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor with more than ten years of experience in diverse mental health environments.
"My experience encompasses child welfare, community mental health, rehabilitation with incarcerated individuals, and holistic collaborative care. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Ottawa University, specializing in trauma, abuse, and deprivation.
I utilize a client-centered approach designed to facilitate healing and empower individuals to achieve their fullest potential. It is a privilege to observe the transformation of individuals as they evolve into the person they aspire to be. I provide an empathetic and transparent environment, ensuring that my clients feel safe, acknowledged, and validated. Together we will address challenges, foster understanding, and enable you to undertake significant transformation by examining the connections among your past experiences, present behaviors, and future goals.
I maintain a trauma-informed perspective while employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, talk therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to accompany you on your healing journey.
